Dr. Farangis Habib, MD, MHSc, FAAP, IM, is a board-certified pediatrician at Virginia Pediatric Group, providing care primarily at the Herndon and Great Falls locations.
She has extensive experience as a pediatrician, researcher, and former Medical Director for two pharmaceutical companies. Driven by her interest in public health and preventive medicine, she began her advanced training at the Harvard School of Public Health. She later earned a Certificate in Tropical Medicine and a Master’s degree in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Additionally, she completed a fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in Spring 2023 and also completed fellowship in APIM in Pediatric Integrative Medicine with AAP in December 2025.
Dr. Habib is also trained with the REACH Institute and treats children and adolescents with mental health conditions, incorporating her integrative medicine knowledge to provide comprehensive care.

Dr. Habib employs a range of modalities, including diet, lifestyle changes, appropriate supplements, and principles from Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. She integrates mindfulness-based stress reduction and emphasizes practical methods that address the physical, emotional, social, and mental well-being of her patients.

Dr. Habib actively involves parents in the treatment process, conducting thorough 45-60 minute assessments to develop personalized care plans with follow-up as needed. She offers a variety of treatment options within both conventional and integrative frameworks tailored to each patient.
